Flutter vs React Native for Syrian businesses

Both build one app for iOS and Android. The right choice depends less on the framework and more on your product and your future team.

Both frameworks let one team build a single app that runs on iOS and Android. That alone makes either one a better choice than building two native apps for most business projects. The question is which one for your project.

Where they are similar

  • One codebase, both platforms.
  • Good performance for the vast majority of apps — lists, forms, media, maps, chat.
  • Mature ecosystems with packages for payments, notifications, analytics and the rest.
  • Real production track records at large companies.

Where Flutter tends to win

  • Consistency. Flutter draws its own UI, so the app looks identical on every device and OS version. Fewer "it looks wrong on this one phone" bugs.
  • Animation and custom design. If your product leans on a distinctive, animated interface, Flutter makes that cheaper to build well.
  • Predictable upgrades. Fewer moving native pieces to break when iOS or Android ships a new version.

Most of the 21 apps Codrex has shipped that needed cross-platform went with Flutter for these reasons.

Where React Native tends to win

  • Shared skills with web. If you already have a React web app or a team that knows React, React Native reuses that knowledge and sometimes code.
  • Native look by default. It uses the platform's real components, so the app feels "iOS on iOS, Android on Android" without extra work.
  • Hiring pool. More developers know JavaScript than Dart, which can matter if you plan to build a large in-house team.

The honest recommendation

For a standalone business app — delivery, booking, retail, services — we default to Flutter. For a company that already lives in the React ecosystem and wants one stack across web and mobile, React Native is the pragmatic pick.

Either way, insist on: you own the code, the stack is mainstream, and another team could pick it up later. Both frameworks pass that test. A bespoke framework nobody else uses does not.
